To be honest, when I first checked this one out, I felt like I had used it before. I used a few more pouches and then it hit me, this one reminds me a lot of Velo Eucalyptus, that I reviewed a few months ago. That makes sense, given that Lyft and Velo are both made by BAT. My estimation is that this may be a rebranded Velo Eucalyptus, but I’m not entirely sure on that one. That being said, I’m still going to give this one a review.

When you open the can, a present aroma of menthol comes through. Much like opening a fresh bag of menthol cough drops, this one packs the menthol aroma in a major way. The pouches are slim, with a soft feel to them. They have a decent moisture amount, and release flavour pretty quickly under the lip. When I put one in, at first I get a slight burn, which fades and gives way to a gentle cooling sensation. They have a nice fit under the lip, and feel pretty soft against the gum. In the flavour profile, it’s a pretty straightforward taste of menthol. It’s quite present, and comes with a light amount of sweetness to it. If you like menthol, you’ll be impressed with the bold nature of menthol in the flavour profile of this one. In the nicotine strength, this one comes in at 10.9mg/pouch. That may sound like regular strength on paper, but to me it definitely delivers at the strong level, maybe a little bit above. This one comes on pretty quickly, and has a decent kick to it. In the flavour longevity, this one hangs out for about 40-45 minutes, so it has a pretty decent amount of life to it.

I don’t really use menthol pouches. Every now and then, if I catch a cold or have a sore throat, I’ll reach for a menthol pouch, but it’s not a flavour I use much of myself. However, I think people who enjoy this sort of thing will be pleased with it. It’s a high quality pouch, with a bold flavour of menthol! While not for me, it is a pretty good pouch that menthol lovers are going to enjoy.

Opening the can, I encounter a bright aroma of citrus. It seems to be a mix of orange and lemon, if I had to place it. There’s a cooling presence to the aroma, but it doesn’t smell too much like mint, nor does it smell too much like menthol. It’s pretty interesting, and intriguing. It’s tart, and faintly sweet. The pouches are the mini size, at 0.5g each. They’re pretty soft to the touch, and comfortable under the lip. They’re moderately moist, so they have a great feel, and a quick release of the flavour profile. Under the lip, I encounter a gentle cooling presence, which adds a freshness to this pouch. It’s interesting, it doesn’t seem too minty. I don’t encounter a lot of mint in the flavour profile, nor do I notice a big menthol tone. It’s refreshing, and mint-ish, but it doesn’t have a big mint flavour. I’m okay with that, because I usually don’t prefer to mix mint with other flavors. The citrus is the best part of the flavor. It seems to be mostly orange, but I notice a little lemon in the mix, too. It’s tart, and has a little sweetness to it that isn’t too overdone. The nicotine strength on this one, with one pouch, feels to be about regular strength, and has a satisfactory delivery. The flavour lasts a good 35-40 minutes, on average, which is about normal for most nicotine pouches.

There’s no mistaking that Lyft and Velo are the most popular, and widely known, nicotine pouch products out there. Second to maybe Zyn. However, there’s a reason these are so popular. Not only is there a wide mix of flavours and strengths to this series, they also have a high product quality. This one is an example of the more unique flavours in the Lyft/Velo series. It has a nice citrusy taste that isn’t too minty, and a smaller pouch size for those who want something smaller in the lip.

I usually don’t like mixing mint and other flavours. It doesn’t usually seem to work for me. However, this one wasn’t too minty, and I found the freshness in the flavour worked well with the citrus. I don’t do mini pouches, so this one isn’t one I’d use, but I think people who do enjoy the smaller pouch are going to be quite pleased with this one. It has a really nice, summery flavour to it!

There are so many mint nicotine pouches out there. It seems like that is most of what people are making nowadays. Personally, I’m not a big mint pouch user.
